In vDesign, the ribbon now supports standard Revit F1 help, YouTube videos are available within wizard dialogs, and the Pipe Manager offers flexibility by allowing users to choose between Metric and Imperial. Several new and updated families have also been added to improve design accuracy and functionality.
In vCalc, users will notice significant improvements including YouTube video guidance for calculations and error messages, a new “Run calculations” icon, and a helpful status pop-up directly in Revit. Trace performance has been improved for mixed Tap and Tee sections, and there is now a configuration option to display single connector elements such as hose valves within pipe sections. Additional refinements include the ability to swap specific row start and end points, improvements to submittals, and new options to manage shared drive save file warnings. To make navigation easier, the open file function now defaults to the last used folder.
In vList, we’ve added undo and redo functions within the UI tabs, as well as a “Move to” feature that allows thread pipe to be converted to weld. The loose tab has been enhanced for smoother workflows, and the new Bulk Change option makes it possible to convert all imported tees to domestic tees in one step. We’ve also added a “Do not fab” setting to hold an ID, introduced a new double-ring trapeze family, and made improvements across stock lists, shop labels, shop reports, and master sheets. Import and export functions have been upgraded, YouTube help videos are now available for hanger kit setup, and users can permanently bypass the shared drive save file warning. Like vCalc, vList now also defaults open file functions to the last used folder.
These upgrades are designed to keep your projects moving forward with less interruption and greater flexibility. Explore all the new features today, take advantage of the latest enhancements, and see how vDesign can make your workflow even smoother.
